Sterilization Protocol
Health and Safety Information
We care for your family like we care for our own. We make sure our safety and sterilization precautions are strictly followed and practiced by all team members at Alexander M. Mazratian, DDS, M.Ed.. The levels of sanitization and sterilization we adhere to let us ensure the highest standard of care in the safest environment possible.
Our Standard Health Practices
With your family’s well being as the priority, our staff is educated and trained on the procedures recommended by the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). We implement these procedures into our daily routine to make our office as safe as possible.
We practice the following standards of sterilization:
- Requiring the use of gloves and face masks for clients and staff
- Locating sinks with disinfectant hand soap throughout the office
- Using disposable materials when possible
- Cleaning countertops and surfaces with EPA-approved chemical disinfectants
- Sterilizing equipment before and after each use
When your family comes to our office, you will see all team members practicing these procedures. They will be wearing disposable gloves and masks while ensuring that all exam rooms are thoroughly cleaned before, during and after your visit with us.
When possible, our team uses disposable materials. Most, if not all, materials used during your appointment are disposable to ensure we are keeping you safe and healthy. Materials that are not disposable are thoroughly disinfected between each use.
